Pauline Murphy Alphin, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Johnson of Oregon, Barbara Parrish of Pink Hill, and Donna Mercer of Kinston, two sons, Keith Mills of Deep Run and Gary Mills of Comfort, two sisters, Myrtle Howard and Evelyn Hall, three brothers, Lewis Murphy, Virgil Murphy, and Donald Murphy, and several special grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to a special care giver Viola Wallace.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Tommie Alphin and her parents Grainger and Etta Murphy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jonathan Foster and Rev. Virgil Murphy with visitation to follow the services. Interment will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alphin Family Cemetery, Seven Springs.

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29.
