Jerry Andrew Howard Sr.

Pink Hill

Jerry Andrew Howard Sr., 65, of Pink Hill, peacefully completed his life's journey at home with his family on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Jerry loved working with his hands and started Jerry's Home Improvement in the vinyl siding industry in 1979. Eventually he learned the plumbing trade and was owner and operator of Rent-A-Plumber for 15 years until his illness forced him to lay down his tools. Jerry was a loving Daddy, PaPa, and Granddaddy who enjoyed spending time with his family on the weekends. He also enjoyed making everyone around him laugh and rarely missed his Sunday afternoon naps and motorcycle rides. Jerry will surely be missed at the local Bojangles, McDonalds, and Lowes as he usually made a daily appearance at each and was well-known. Jerry's life work was not to gain fame or fortune, but he will always be remembered for his love of family and friends and his willingness to help others in need and that is a life of fortune to be proud of.

A special thank-you to Vidant Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support that allowed Jerry to spend his last days at home with his family.
